Designing banknotes is not your ordinary design job. If you ever get to work on a currency redesign, which I highly doubt, you will get a list of requirements that will probably make you regret getting to work on it at the first place.
There are special security requirements, advanced printing techniques to understand, and bureaucratic processes to face. For all these reasons, it’s much more convenient to redesign currencies in concept projects, even though the bills will never truly exist. Here are some cool concepts by designers who had interest in the way our money looks. Some are awesome, so a little less, but all are quite creative.
1. Hungarian paper money
This redesign of Hungarian euro is designed by Barbara BernĂ¡t that features European animals on common side and the other side shows related species of plants. You can view it here.
2. Pakistani Banknotes
This is an attempt to redesign the existing Pakistani Banknotes by Halima Sadia in order to have a collection of things that may be a stronger representation for a Pakistani. You can watch it here.
