Good graphic design work takes time and effort for the designers who produce it, but it can be the best source of inspiration for others. In this post I have gathered ten examples of high-quality graphic design work. Make sure that you ask yourself what makes the work good for each design you’ll see in this post, that’s how you improve yourself.
1. Colorado Brewers
A bit hipsterish, but well designed with complicated line-based drawings that still look very well balanced. Found on Sunday Lounge, among other brewery logos.
2. U.S. Air Mail Postage Stamp
A postage stamp with a purely typographic approach and a vintage look-and-feel. Designed by Arno Kathollnig.
3. Holy Models
Gorgeous cover designs for Holy Models, an Australian band. The minimalist approach combined with interesting play with lines make it an award-winning piece. Great work by Jason Wood.
4. Book cover
A gorgeous book cover, I couldn’t read the title or the author’s name, but it looks great. Excellent work by Rodrigo Corral.
5. Ground Zero
A beautiful poster with great typographic integration, but I couldn’t find any info about it. Found on dkimdesign.com.
6. Bridge Eight
A literary magazine cover that perfectly continues on the back cover. Warm colors with layers work very well, and the little red badge on top is a nice touch. Good design by Karen Kurycki.
7. Jean Martin Verrault business cards
Colorful business cards designed by Jean Martin Verrault, a Québec-based designer, for personal purpose.
8. Secret Garden
Visuals developed for the musical theatre performance of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s, The Secret Garden. Designed by Darbi Nicole.
9. Festive Tote
A lovely tote bag with nice typography, the golden metallic ink is just too good. Designed by Luke Tonge.
10. Cardnest
CardNest is an online subscription service delivering beautiful, emotive and exclusive greetings cards to your doorstep. Three designs per month from the world’s most exciting illustrators and designers.
